Hello friends!
I’m in a much improved organisational state this week, as evidenced by the fact that this Monday newsletter is going out to you on a Monday as intended - the benefits of a very relaxing, yet sociable weekend with the family and our neighbours. All that said, I’m off on my travels tomorrow, heading to Gothenburg for the Nordic Film Market, so today’s missive is going to be short and sweet…
The thrust of this week’s newsletter is primarily designed around letting you faithful friends of the show the identity of our next storytelling guests when we return to Kings Place on Monday March 3rd - just over a month’s time.
First up, it’s our old friend Keith Kahn-Harris…
Writer, academic, sociologist, Heavy Metal enthusiast and spectacular beard-owner, Keith will be returning to the OneTrackMinds stage for the third time in March. He’s previously delivered a story-cum-lecture about the musical allures of Iron Maiden, and a highly entertaining story about 80s dance-subculture Hi-NRG, and given that spread of genres, it’s almost impossible to predict what he’s going to be talking about this time. The only thing we’re sure of it that it’ll be excellent, and you won’t want to miss it.
Joining Keith on March 3rd will be stand-up comedian and actress Tiff Stevenson.
Doubtless, you’ll have seen Tiff on TV Mock The Week, People Just Do Nothing or Game Face, or perhaps you’ve seen one of her many award-winning stand-up comedy shows. Here’s a clip of some of her highlights from Mock The Week:
Already, that’s looking like an absolutely terrific line-up, and we’re not even halfway through yet! We’ll be announcing the other three guests over the next couple of weeks, but if you’ve already seen enough, and want to book tickets, please, by all means, do so!
As always, tickets are £18 (plus admin fees), and the show starts at 7:30pm. We’d love to see you there.
Er… that’s it! As promised, a very short email this week. We’ll make up for it next week, when we’ll also be previewing the return of the OneTrackMinds podcast on Friday February 7th. Very exciting… until then,
KB.
